Žice: debljina i materijal
Strings are the first link in the chain: a pickup only hears what moves in its magnetic field, so material and gauge change both the tone and the feel under your fingers.
DebljinaGauge
A string set is usually named after the gauge of its thinnest string, in thousandths of an inch: “tens” are a set whose high E is 0.010″ thick. Pick a set to see the cross-sections of all six strings to scale.
Thicker strings at the same scale and tuning have more tension: they sound fuller and sustain longer but are harder to bend. Thinner ones bend more easily and sound brighter. The top three strings are usually plain and the bottom three are wound (the dashed ring in the picture).
MaterijalMaterial
- Nikl-pokrivene čelične
- najčešće; uravnotežene
- Čisti nikl
- vintage, toplije i glađe
- Nerđajući čelik
- vrlo svetle; brže troše pragove
- Kobalt
- jači izlaz i jasniji visoki
- Nickel-plated steel
- the most common; balanced
- Pure nickel
- vintage, warmer and smoother
- Stainless steel
- very bright; wears frets faster
- Cobalt
- stronger output and clearer highs
Namotaj i oblogaWinding and coating
- Okrugli namotaj (roundwound)
- svetle, standardne
- Ravni namotaj (flatwound)
- glatke, tople, džez
- Obložene (coated)
- duži vek, malo drugačiji osećaj
- Roundwound
- bright, standard
- Flatwound
- smooth, warm, jazz
- Coated
- longer life, slightly different feel
